A Lost Strength Secret

Dragging is another lost secret to building a strong athletic body, dragging is
a labor exercise that will have you breathing heavy and legs wobbly in a few
short seconds.

You don’t need any special equipment you can drag a heavy bag or put the
heavy bag in a kid’s plastic sled and use a towel as the handle to work on
grip strength.

You can drag it with your hands behind you another way is  turn around and
face the sled and drag the sled backwards which I feel is the toughest way to
drag it.

Most people use their arms to drag a sled to them which is easy compared to
dragging a sled around with the legs. People spend too much time focusing
on “Glory Muscles” muscles that look good and are not good for much else.

There is a group of people out there that will tell you they are in to manual labor
style training but have no idea what it even means. For instance, hitting a tire
with a sledge hammer for a few reps or for a minute is not labor.

A person that does manual labor will swing a sledge hammer hundreds
if not thousands of times a day.

A furniture mover isn’t moving 3 sets of 10 they move and unload the truck until
it’s done. Heavy, moderate and light weight but they do it for hours.

Dragging a heavy bag  in a cheap plastic flat bottom sled using your legs
pulling facing away from the sled or a even tougher way is to face to sled
and drag it backward really working the legs.

I train my body like a manual laborer; I train with high reps and for longer
periods of time then the average trainer. How important is dragging
something?

One example would be a hunter. Hunters die every year in the woods,
one of the toughest things about hunting and getting a deer or bear
is you need to get this animal out of the woods dragging it over trees,
brush, up hills making it extremely difficult.

Training your body for whatever life throws at you makes more sense than
training the body just to look good. Dragging should be in all types of training
programs there is not one person that could not benefit from dragging a
moderate weight around.

Dragging a weight will build a strong, almost immovable body! The key is to
suffer through the exercise to get great results. There is three ways to do this
for amazing benefits. One is to drag for long periods of time two, drag
for long distance, and number three, drag up hill.

100 yards is a good starting distance, or 10 minutes is a good starting time.
Don’t let these simple exercises fool you. They will put a different thought
of what strength is in your mind.
